Jewelry Care Guide
Thanks Dad jewelry is made with quality materials and the intention to be well-loved and worn for a lifetime.
However, please keep in mind that our pieces are hand-made and therefore delicate.
Please read our care guide below for more details on how to properly care for your fine jewelry.
-
To prolong the life of your jewelry, remove when sleeping, showering, exercising, swimming, or cleaning with chemicals. Please remove jewelry when washing your hands and applying products such as lotions or perfumes.
It is important to note that while we only use 14k Gold, Gold-filled, and Sterling Silver, ingredients in soaps, chlorine, oils, and other chemicals can potentially damage your jewelry.
-
Unless otherwise stated, all of our jewelry may be gently cleaned with a soft polishing cloth. If your jewelry needs a deeper clean than this, please take your pieces to a professional jeweler to be safely cleaned.
Jewelry cleaners such as ultrasonic or cleaning solutions could potentially damage gemstones, so please be cautious if using these methods for cleaning your jewelry at home.
-
To ensure your jewelry stays clean and tangle free, we suggest storing your pieces in individual pouches, clasped, and laid flat. Chain pieces can be hung.
We want your Thanks Dad jewelry to last a lifetime, so we include jewelry pouches and cleaning cloths in every order to make it as easy as possible for you to take great care of your pieces!
Note: Avoid exposing Enamel, Opal, Emerald, and Silk to water and humidity.
Along with following our care guide, we strongly suggest doing your own research on how to best care for your jewelry. If you have any questions that weren’t answered on this page, please contact us for more information!
