Helping others achieve their dreams comes naturally to Glorianna. She finds passion in using her talents to bring a vision into reality. Her inspiration comes from her experiences with the people around her and the friends she makes through her artistic pursuits.

  • Founder

Militza (aka Mila) has lived her life with the goal of never having to choose just one creative outlet. Her half of the birth of Thanks Dad comes from a lifelong love for jewelry and a professional background in fine arts, illustration, and design.

Frustrated by the transient nature of poorly made pieces, Militza found a desire to begin collecting and creating jewelry that is made to last. She strives to fill her world with intentionally created and hand-made works of art.

Militza draws inspiration from friends, museums, her partner and co-owner Glorianna, and other creative minds who see fashion as an art form, not just a trend.

    Fun Facts

    • She is deaf in her right ear.

    • She was named after her great-grandmother.

    • She can smell Ladybugs.

Thanks Dad is a Latina and LGBTQIA+ operated business founded by Militza Schwartz and Glorianna Restrepo.
Having both spent their lives trying any and all means of creative expression, the idea of choosing just one artistic medium never felt authentic to these renaissance women.
With their combined skills for fine jewelry making, illustration and design, marketing, and production, they created Thanks Dad as a platform to turn their many artistic pursuits into a sustainable career, together.
